usic, poetry, painting and the other arts have long been an integral part of humanity’s cultural and spiritual development. All the great religions have employed aesthetic means to help envision the invisible, to manifest in some way intimations of the infinite. We could even say that the very concept of God itself is principally an imaginative expression of a deeply intuited presence. Recognizing this, the great Sufi philosopher, Ibn Arabi emphasized the importance of what he called the “imaginal realm”. For him, this was the source and the ground of higher consciousness.

Creative endeavors then offer us a way not just to understand, but to engage the laws of action, form, beauty, harmony, and meaning which govern this vital realm. SacraMusic is intended to provide a particular focus and field of experience for that engagement.  The premise here is that art, and especially music, provide access to profound personal transformation. And that this is nothing less that an authentic mystic path to enlightenment.
